Bringing Planet Holly-wow to Planet Hollywood
We needed to remind people that Planet Hollywood is a unique experience that goes beyond that of an ordinary restaurant. Through research, we discovered that families are often looking for an escape from the theme parks while still craving a unique one-of-a-kind experience. We saw an opportunity to position Planet Hollywood as not just a restaurant, but a destination. My goal was to bring back a little Planet Holly-wow to this iconic restaurant. This led to my idea to put people’s amazed expressions into the Planet Hollywood name to spark curiosity, and remind people of the amazing memorabilia and the bigger-than-life movie screen viewing experience.
The campaign helped boost overall restaurant sales by 11% and visitation by 18% YoY.
