When cancer strikes, hit back.

This one-of-a-kind project focused on letting people take out their frustrations on cancer by launching paint-filled balloons at the word cancer in a variety of ways. I worked with a creative technologist to design and build a cancer cannon, the team made slingshots, and we used drones to drop balloons to splat out cancer. The initiative raised over $250K for the Baptist Health Foundation. Check out this case study video to learn more then see a snapshot of some of the work below.

We built a cancer cannon to obliterate our cancer wall with paint balloons. Working with our maker/technologist, we built the cancer cannon from scratch. We also let people drop balloons from drones and launch them from slingshots, but the cancer cannon was the crowd favorite offering the most cathartic way to hit back.

Incredible Results

Our campaign consisted of video, posters, emails, the event, a microsite, and more. And when the paint settled, we had raised over $250,000 for the Baptist Health Foundation and created an event that became an annual affair. In addition to the money raised, awareness for the foundation also grew helping increase general organic donations for years to come. Watch the case study below for more details.
